A Candlelight Campaign Was Held to the Elderly

At 2 . on June 15th, 2019, a volunteer activity called Candlelight Campaign was held, aiming to give a helping hand to the senior citizens in the Spring Neighborhood.

It was hosted by the Student Union of our university and involved a host of activities. To start with, the volunteer team composed of 15 volunteers helped the old to do some housework, for example, they assisted the disabled in doing some laundry and purchasing some daily necessities they want. In addition, they chatted with some lonely people whose partners have gone to make them feel warm, in that these man are always complaining that they even don’t have a friend to talk. What’s more, the volunteers enabled the senior to operate the latest high technology, such as the use of smartphones, ipad, and the like.

Surrounded by a large amount of assistance and kindness, the senior citizens were very happy and appreciative. Overall, the Candlelight Campaign made a great success and the volunteers received a heartfelt praise and gratitude. It is advisable that more activities be arranged in the forthcoming years.
