中国人的传统节日很多，但我最喜欢的还是元宵节，因为元宵节有漂亮的烟花，还有好吃的汤圆，美丽的灯展。
一大早，我们全家就一起去超市买元宵，节日的超市格外有元宵节的味道，柜台上摆满了各种元宵，有袋装的，还有散装的，还有各种口味的，如：黑芝麻馅的、松仁馅的、白糖、核桃仁、青红丝的应有尽有，品种至多，让人流连忘返，那里品种较多，不知该买哪一样，每一样都那么精美，因为我喜欢吃黑芝麻馅的，所以，我们就买了四包黑芝麻馅的。回到家里，妈妈立刻烧好了水，把汤圆倒了进去，把锅盖盖上，过了一会儿，打开锅，那汤圆浮在水上，个个都浑圆精致，肤白胜雪，滚动在汤里，晶莹剔透，美丽极了，真是一种美丽的诱惑，妈妈把汤圆端上来，那汤圆洁白淡雅，碗里盛上了几个洁白、润泽，如玉盛 雪的汤圆，好像艺术品，用勺轻轻捞一颗放在嘴里，外皮软绵、爽滑，里馅甜香浓郁，直沁人的心脾，我立刻就被这美丽精致的小东西陶醉了，我甚至想只有月宫里的嫦娥仙子才配吃这样的美食吧。晚上，我们全家一起去江边看灯展和焰火，刚到彩虹桥，犹如海啸一般的声音便传了出来，只见美丽的焰火在天空中此起彼伏的绽放，点亮了美丽的夜空。
这时，我不禁想起苏道味曾经写过的诗句：火树银花台，星桥铁索开，暗尘随马去，明月逐人来。又想起辛弃疾的东功夜放千花树，更吹落，星如雨
虽然元宵节没有春节盛大，但它却以它的独特让人赞不绝口，我喜欢过元宵节。

on the second day, the chinese pray to their ancestors as well as to all the gods. they are extra kind to dogs and feed them well as it is believed that the second day is the birthday of all dogs.
the third and fourth days are for the sons-in-laws to pay respect to their parents-in-law.
the fifth day is called po woo. on that day people stay home to wele the god of wealth. no one visits families and friends on the fifth day because it will bring both parties bad luck.
on the sixth to the 10th day, the chinese visit their relatives and friends freely. they also visit the temples to pray for good fortune and health.

盼星星，盼月亮，终于盼来了元宵节，我激动不已。爷爷睡过午觉之后，就忙着包汤圆，我觉得包汤圆很有意思，就过来凑凑热闹。首先，爷爷把晒好的面粉倒进一个大盘子里，接着往盘里倒上热水，将它们搅拌一下，这样，就可以开始包汤圆了。
爷爷经常包汤圆，他已经熟能生巧了，就是闭着眼睛也可以包出汤圆来，我的手心也发痒了，真想帮爷爷也包几个，我小声嘀咕着：“怎么不给我也包点儿……”奶奶又说起了风凉话：“你还包呢?说不定，你包起来的汤圆会变成饺子呢!”我又嘟起了小嘴，爷爷最看不惯我撒娇，所以就同意我包汤圆。我说包就包，赶紧拿一些面粉学着爷爷在手上捏，再把它揉成圆的，然后用大拇指按住一处，在手上转，当面粉被做成一个小杯子形状的时候，往里面放点儿包芯，接着再把口合起来，最后搓成圆的，汤圆就是这样做成的。
我按照爷爷的方法试着包汤圆，但还是可以用“四不像”来形容，爷爷只好边包边给我做最最透彻的分析，我终于明白了。又继续包，渐渐的，我包的越来越好了。
今天的收获可真大，既学会了包汤圆，又从中得到了很多的快乐!
