Question1: 你们专业应该大部分都选择继续读研究生或者出国，你为何选择了直接工作？Barron: 其实当时也纠结了很久，我从入校开始就抱着去美国读生物医学专业研究生的准备，当时也在备考GRE和托福。但是2年读下来，我发现自己对这个专业还是没有特别大的兴趣，因为我们专业很多东西涉及编程，电路元件，可我发现自己还是很难耐下性子坐下来去研究，所以其实大学专业课学的很suffer，感觉没有兴趣。所以那时候就在想既然这个专业我不喜欢，为什么还要花钱花时间去读一个自己不喜欢的专业，虽然大多数人可能指望研究生的文凭找个好工作，但我感觉可能那是在逃避吧。还有一点是因为从小到大读了20年书，但一点工作经验都没有，我压根不知道工作是一种什么样的状态，所以我特别希望去体会一下真实的工作状态，就算读书也可以工作一段时间再去深造，工作之后你会更加清楚自己还缺哪些能力，于是可以有针对性的去学，这样比直接盲目的读研究生要更合适。

Question2: 你对当时找到GE的工作满意吗？拿到这个Offer前期有什么特别的准备吗？

Barron: 本科毕业能直接来GE对我而言是很满意的，GE的平台和它的培训机制可以让年轻人很快的得到成长，这儿的人以及这儿的文化真的是Top级的，你能学到很多很多东西。当时为了找工作准备了很多东西，其中触动最大的还是当时申请GE的销售暑期实习生被拒后，发现自己还有太多商业知识的东西需要加强。于是在11年暑假进行了恶补，当时花了两个月啃下了两本原版的教科书Strategic Management和Marketing Management，两本书加起来差不多20__多页，当时看完后有一种豁然开朗的感觉，它使得你对商业世界，对公司运营和管理有了一个清晰的认识，特别对于学生而言，这种知识让你在以后的面试过程中感到自信。当然在准备简历上也花了很多时间，我当时专门拿麦肯锡和波士顿咨询作为目标，就是为了给自己一个高标准，因为它们的面试和简历筛选绝对是最难的，我还特意从沈阳跑到北大参加了波士顿咨询在北大的宣讲会，目的就是见识一下所谓的牛人们，北大去听宣讲的也都是光华管理学院和MBA的人，所以这段经历让我在以后的面试中感到更加放松，因为你已经见识过了最厉害的这帮同龄人，当然麦肯锡和波士顿是果断的拒掉了我，但是这段准备过程在后面GE的面试中起到了关键作用，所以充分的专业知识和简历的`准备是找到好公司工作必不可少的。

Question3: 你是学工科的，但你工作很多工作是涉及到经济分析，营销管理的这些商业内容，你怎么在短时间内在工作中上手？

Barron: 我觉得大学教会一个人最重要的是You learned how to learn. 持续的自学能力绝对是工作中最重要的能力之一，我在GE的第一个岗位天天做宏观经济分析的工作，没错我本科不是经济学，但是我本科涉猎过经济学的书，觉得也挺有意思，于是来GE工作后的一周内，我直接花了1500个大洋买了本最新版的曼昆的原版经济学原理，当时每天都会看。大概花了不到一个月的时间把那本书读完了，后来我工作的时候也会经常去涉猎投行的一些经济报告，这种知识和感觉慢慢就积累起来了，3到4个月后吧我老板在宏观经济分析这块儿就完全丢给我来做了。GE的首席经济学家也会找我这边帮忙做一些中国经济现状和趋势的分析，我给他做的报告也不错。所以我觉得本科学的什么并不重要，重要的是你是否学会了一种学习能力，以及你是否有欲望去学习新的知识。
